Madison Art Society to host Acrylic Painting demo by Bill Colrus

The Madison Art Society will host an acrylic painting demo by artist Bill Colrus on Sunday, May 15, 2016, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.  The demo will take place in the community room at the Scranton Memorial Library, 801 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT.  The demonstration is being held in conjunction with the society's 41st Annual Juried Show.

Bill Colrus, a longtime illustrator, cartoonist and graphic designer - now retired- is well known for his versatility and fondness for trying new approaches.  He has turned his hand to fine art and the same passion for exploration prevails. In addition to his work as a commercial artist, Bill taught at Paier College of Art for 33 years.  He still enjoys teaching, currently offering small classes in area towns.  "I have always encouraged students to explore and discover more about themselves through their art", says Colrus.

The Madison Art Society is dedicated to the promotion of art along the shoreline and offers artists demos and lectures throughout the year.  Events are free and open to the public.
