Madison Art Society 41st Annual Juried Art Show

The Madison Art Society will host their 41st Annual Juried Art Show May 2-27, 2016. The exhibit showcasing works done in a variety of fine art media will be on display at The Scranton Memorial Library, 801 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT and will be viewable during regular library hours.  Connecticut artists, over the age of 18, were eligible to enter their artwork for jurying. The works were selected by juror James Magner, a well known plein air painter from Connecticut and Chatham, MA. Long a Madison tradition, the show offers viewers an opportunity to see some of the best artwork by Connecticut artists, available today.  A portion of each sale is donated to the library.

Several special events are offered in conjunction with the show.  The public is invited to attend and there is no admission fee.

Thursday, May 12 5-7 p.m. Opening reception and Awards ceremony

Sunday, May 15 1:30-3:30 p.m. Acrylic Painting demonstration by artist Bill Colrus

Thursday, May 266:30-8:30 p.m. Poetry Reading by members of the Guilford Poets Guild.  Poems shared are inspired by artworks on exhibit.
