The Madison Art Society announces Madison Town Hall Artists for May and June

Pastelists Anne Merriam and Justine Grandpre are the Madison Art Society Town Hall artists for May and June.  The exhibit of their work also celebrates each artist's different approach to handling pastels and similar subject matter.  The artwork is on display at the Town Hall, 8 Campus Drive, Madison, CT and is open to the public for viewing during regular business hours.

Anne lives on the shoreline.  She brings to her art her experiences living and exploring the east and west coasts of the United States and the extraordinary landscape in between.  She received her BFA from Tufts and the School of The Museum of Fine Art in Boston.  She has studied locally with Joan Levy Hepburn and paints with the Madison Art Society's winter studio group.

Justine Grandpre

Justine began painting with pastels just over two years ago.  She was attracted to the magnitude of colors and values available with which to paint.  She enjoys the range of subject matter and seasonal changes the New England landscape affords.
