Guilford Poets Guild and Madison Art Society present Poetry night at the 40th Annual Juried Art Show

A very special evening celebrating art and poetry will be held on Wednesday May 20, 2015, 6:30 pm at The Scranton Memorial Library, 801 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT.  

As part of a tradition, appreciated by poets and artists alike, members of the Guilford Poets Guild view the annual juried art show sponsored by the Madison Art Society.  Poets select a work of art and use it as the inspiration for a poem.

The poems are then read aloud by the poets in a program celebrating both the visual and written arts.  Artists whose work has been selected in the past have said that the poem was "like winning an award".  The event is free and the public is welcome.
